As a female researcher, I often found myself navigating challenges that went beyond academic deadlines and research pressures. Balancing everything while striving for visibility in a competitive field made things even tougher. But stepping into the gym became an unexpected source of resilience. When I first walked into the gym, I had no idea how much it would change my life—not just physically, but mentally and professionally. My personal trainer wasn’t only teaching me how to lift weights; he was showing me how to lift myself, even when things got tough. These lessons quickly became more than just workout advice—they became the principles I applied in my academic journey, too.
